Would you like to improve your literacy skills?
Are you interested in getting a nationally recognised qualification?
The Level 1 and Level 2 courses in Functional Skills English can help you improve your English skills e.g. reading a bus timetable, writing professional letters and CVs, helping your children with their homework.
Candidates take an initial assessment and our trainers will use the results to agree with you the most appropriate level of course to follow. The course is assessed via an externally marked exam.
Level 1 is a nationally recognised certificate equivalent to half a GCSE at Grade D-G
Level 2 is a nationally recognised certificate equivalent to half a GCSE Grade B.
These courses are not for ESOL* students
How long will the course take?
The course usually takes 40-45 hours to complete.
