Work Clubs

Course Location - Any of our Learning Centres

Course Description

Are you affected by redundancy or currently unemployed?

GMB Reachout run a series of Work Clubs across our network of learning hubs to help individuals gain the right skills to get back into employment.

A good CV is a way of selling yourself and broadcasting your skills as this is usually the first point of contact between you and an prospective employer. We can offer advice and assistance in writing a CV to ensure that all relevant information has been included and we can even help with word processing the finished document.

We can also guide and advise you with Universal Job Match and looking for jobs online. If you do not currently have an email address, you may wish to attend one of our Online Basics courses first.

Employability skills can be a great benefit when looking for a new job and we can offer advice on completing job applications and knowing where to look for current vacancies. We can also help you gain worthwhile skills to maintain employment such as improved communication skills and how to ensure you are an adaptable worker.

These Work Clubs are free and open to anyone looking for assistance in getting back into work. You may wish to talk to someone about enrolling on a course and our IAG trained staff will be happy to assist and point you in the right direction.

Why not contact us for an initial appointment and see for yourself the support we can offer? The Work Clubs are run across our ACT hubs on various days and times.
